(Serves 4)


You will need:

1 Sachet of side dish spices from any Secret Chef 3in1 Curry Meal Kit.

1 Onion finely chopped

2 Cloves of Garlic crushed

225g Red Lentils (quick cook)

1½ Pints Water

Juice of ½ a small Lemon

5tbs Vegetable Oil

Salt to taste

 

Heat the Oil in a saucepan and stir fry the Onions for 2 minutes.                           

Add the Garlic and stir fry for 30 seconds.                                  

Add the Side Dish Spices and stir fry for 30 seconds.                                 

Add the Lentils, stirring well to mix with the onions and spices.

Add the Water and Salt to taste bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.

(Or until the lentils are tender and all the water is absorbed)

Add the Lemon Juice and stir.

Serve and enjoy.
