Easy Naan Bread Recipe

(Maked 10 Naan Breads)

This recipe does not use any Secret Chef products but is fantastic with all of

our 3in1 Curry meal kits!

This is the easiest Naan Bread recipe we have ever tried.

You will need:

500g Plain Flour

250ml Milk

2 tsp fast action Dried Yeast

½ tsp Baking Powder

Large pinch of Salt

1 Egg, beaten

2 tablespoons of Oil or Ghee (extra Ghee or Butter for brushing)

200ml of natural yoghurt

Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and dried yeast together, make a well in the centre.

Mix the milk, beaten egg, oil and yoghurt together and gradually add to the centre of the flour mixture.

Mix together into a dough. If the dough is too dry add some milk and if too wet some flour.

Knead until silky & smooth (about 5 min.) Put into a greased bowl, cover with a cloth and leave in a warm place for 20 minutes to rise.

When ready, knead quickly and divide into 10 portions.

Heat a frying pan over a medium heat.

On a floured surface roll out 1 portion of dough until ½ cm thick and put directly into a warm un-oiled frying pan.

Cook for 6 minutes, turning half way.

Take it out and brush with melted butter or ghee.

For garlic naan add fresh chopped garlic to the ghee or butter.

Top Tip: make these in advance and reheat in hot oven, they also freeze well.
