Falafel

(Makes 12)

 

This is not a traditional Moroccan recipe but Middle Eastern however

you find it offered all around Morocco.

 

Preparation time 10 minutes

Cooking time 6-8 minutes

Pre-heat the frying pan

 

You will need:

3tsp All In One Moroccan Seasoning

400g Can of Chickpeas drained (240g drained) 

1 small Onion peeled

1 Clove Garlic peeled

1 tbsp Flour

Pinch of Sea Salt

Vegetable oil, for shallow frying

 

Blitz the chickpeas, onion and garlic to a chunky paste, using a blender along with a splash of water!

Add the Moroccan seasoning, flour and combine with a wooden spoon to a smooth’ish paste.

Make 12 patties (small burger shapes) approx 1 ½ cm thick, heat the oil in a frying pan and

fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.

Drain on kitchen paper.

 

Serve with salad, flat bread and sour cream.
