Pork Chops on a bed of Onions

(Serves 4)

 

Preparation time 15 minutes 

Cooking time 30 minutes

Pre-heat the oven to 190°c

(Cooking times will vary depending on your oven, we use a fan oven)

  

You will need:

1 sachet of Secret Chef Pork Rub

4 x Pork Chops

4 x medium Onions sliced as fine as possible

1 tbs Plain Flour

25g Butter

Splash of Cooking Oil

 

Mix ½ the sachet of pork rub with the flour and coat the pork chops.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the chops.

Brown for 3 minutes each side.

Remove from pan, place on baking tray and put in oven.

Add the butter to the frying pan along with the other ½ sachet of pork rub and stir in the onions. Cook slowly on a low heat for 10 minutes (stirring occasionally)

Remove the pork from the oven and spoon the onions under the meat and put back in the oven for a further 10 minutes.

Ensure the pork is cooked to your liking before serving.
