Pork Ragout

(Serves 4)

 

Preparation time 15 minutes

Cooking time 45 / 55 minutes

 

You will need:

2 Sachets Secret Chef Pork Rub

500g Minced Pork

1 large Onion, diced

1 large Carrot, diced

2 Cloves Garlic, crushed

2 Tbsp Tomato Puree

250ml Pork Stock (or any stock other than fish)

Oil for frying

 

Use a thick bottom saucepan & sweat off the onions and carrots in a little oil.

Once soft, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Remove from the pan.

Reheat the pan and fry off the pork mince, (drain off any excess oil/fat)

Stir in the pork rub and tomato puree and cook for 2 minutes

Add the cooked onions, carrots & garlic and stock.

Simmer for 30 – 45 minutes.

 

Serve with rice or pasta.
