Refried Beans

(Serves 4)

 

Preparation time 5 minutes 

Cooking time 8 minutes

 

You will need:

1-2 tbs Secret Chef Mexican Seasoning (depending how hot you like it)

1 can Pinto or Black-eyed beans

1 Onion, diced

Oil or Butter for frying

 

Drain the can of beans and mash with a potato masher or the back of a fork.

Heat the oil or butter in a pan and fry the onions for 2 minutes, add Mexican Seasoning and continue frying for 30 seconds.

Add the mashed beans and fry for 5 minutes, add a little water or stock if looking too dry.

 

Serve piping hot as a side dish.
